i have to say i had a couple with my first pregnancy and they were not dark, and i,m not a very big girl lol i,m 4'7 and 102lbs now and with this pregnancy damnit lol i have alot and their bright purple but i look for them to go away like my last one's did i did have a purple one with my first but it went away! so no worries if you do get them they will go away but not all women get them!

If you continue to take care of them then they should be ok. They may or may not get a little bigger.
Keep yourself and your skin hydrated.
When you got out of the shower pat yourself dry so you are not fully dry. Apply baby oil to lock in moisture then apply Vitamen E lotion. This will also help the marks you already have.

Unfortunately, you will get more with each pregnancy. Especially since each one the baby will bigger or you might retain water more. The only thing is you might get them in different places (boobs, arms, hips, ect.)

Personally with my first son I had the tinniest ones on my very lower part of my tummy. Now with my daughter it was a whole different story. They were huge! They were dark purple, long and ugly. I mean I really dont know why either. I wasnt any bigger with her and they didnt weigh that much different either. My son (my 1st kid) was 8 pounds 6 ounces, and my daughter was 9 pounds 4 ounces. so I hate to be the bearer of bad news but yes, you will probably get the big ugly ones with this baby. But hey, they are love marks. And you should be proud of them. Good luck with the new baby and CONGRATS!!!

I didn't get any on my belly with my first 3 pregnancies. I got them on my breasts and bad. But with the 4th pregnancy i got one on my belly and a cluster of them in between my legs. They faded after she was born and i can't even see them anymore. It is really a hereditary thing. If the ladies in your family had them bad you probably will too, if they didn't you won't. My mom doesn't have any and she was 80 lbs when she got pregnant with me and my sister. My sister and i had a few but they went away.
