  1. Ms. Says:

you can use cocoa butter or a vitamin E oil/cream on it every night. :o )

  2. PRiNCESS Says:

    cocoa butter.

  3. richard c Says:

don't get stretched? exercise! prevention is far better than the cure?

  4. Cleo Says:

Richard C – exercise doesn't necessarily prevent stretch marks. In fact, it can cause them.

While fast growing, weight gain, and pregnancy can create stretch marks, so can exercise. Look at any swimmer's shoulders and you'll see what I mean.

Sorry that this answer isn't helpful to the person asking the question, but I just wanted to point that out.

Also, cocoa butter doesn't remove them, but it does minimize their appearance. You're going to want to apply it once or twice a day for as long as it needs (and then for several weeks after that). It could be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.

You can't get rid of stretch marks. Once they show they are permanent. it will take about a year to fade closer to flesh tone but you can still see them. They also have depth to them so that part of your skin will never feel smooth again.

  2. Victory loves her monsters Says:

Nothing can ultimately get rid of them, they will fade over time but they will always be there.I have horrible stretch marks, but I got 2 beautiful children from them so I can't complain.

  3. Lizzy! Says:

    stretch marks dont go away…

  4. Tati Says:

you cant and if you are far along enough to have strtech marks it is likely you are too far along for an abortion

  5. nana Says:

they say tanning helps with them alot!!!

  6. David Parker Says:

Almond oil – 100% Pure almond oil. (kind of expensive, purchasable at health food stores)

Apply to the area with the stretch marks daily.

It works better to PREVENT future stretch marks as it helps the skin gain elasticity (its used in alot of lotions as the main active ingredient).

But if you already have them, it will slowly (after months of daily use) start to reduce the ones you currently have.

You can also pick up a pure oil scent from the same store, add 1 or 2 drops to you almond oil for a nice smell. (i like rose oil, but its $30.00 an ounce around here, but only takes 1 drop to flavor 5 oz of almond oil to a nice rose smell).

I suggest 3 quarter size applications of almond oil a day to already stretch marked areas.

    Edit—

New edit- I use to make a brand of almond oil lotion in my local area, home made, all natural. Many of my personal friends have totally gotten rid of their stetch marks using almond oil (it just takes time and constant effort to repair the skin).

  7. KBlove Says:

wow…you don't know how lazy and weak you sound in writing this. stop fucking complaing and carry the damn child! give it up for adoption to someone who really wants a child, and who's really worthy of being a parent. The strecth marks will always be there to remind you of the decision you made to get pregnant…so deal with it.

I'm getting married in a couple of months but I still have some stretch marks from my pregnancy. I especially want to get rid of the marks right near my arms pits because I have a strapless gown. Does anyone know of ANYTHING that could help at least reduce these sightly demons?

sorry i don't have an answer but i do have stretch marks so i'm flaggin this incase there are good answers

    edit:
yeah that's what i figured but thought maybe someone would recommend a cream or something :)

  2. mel Says:

You cant get rid of them without very expensive laser surgery and that takes a long time to make them fade but you can cover them up well with cosmetic products.

  3. my opinion Says:

You can't get rid of them and it takes a while for them to fade sometimes a year. you may want to try applying makeup to cover them up. Sorry, they are awful but they are also permanent.

  4. Emily Says:

Sorry, no, there's nothing you can do short of cosmetic surgery. Some people will tell you cocoa butter will help, but it doesn't really.

  5. ks mom Says:

They are here to stay honey! They are the scars of something gorgeous that came from your body. They can be beautiful..if you think of them that way.

A lot of men actually think they are beautiful…only us women think they are sightly demons…hah

  6. anchoredangel Says:

unfortunately they are permanent since they were causes by a breaking down of skin. lasers can fade them, make up can cover them, but sorry to say they're not going away. i wouldn't waste my money of expensive creams if i were you. i agree, i think you should just try some make up to cover them up. if you are having your make up done professionally, the artist might have something that will work. i know several people who have used theatrical make up to cover up tats for special events. good luck and congrats on the wedding and baby! :)

  7. *famousbamis* Says:

They don't go away but you could try using a firming lotion (Jerkins is good) to reduce them. Also make up like everyone is saying. I powder would work better because liquids would just sink into them and make them show more.
Or possibly you could go to a spray tanning place and ask them to try doing something to help
