They are inevitable if you are genetically prone to get them. There isn't anything you can do to prevent them. You can use lotion to try to keep them to a minimum but that may not even work. If you are going to get them you can't do anything about it.

Vitamin E is suppose to be good for stretch marks. Make sure you keep your tummy moisturized so it's easier for it to stretch.

I would just make sure that you maintain the stretch in the skin.. to do this find out what "cream" or "Vaselines" product works best for you.
Once you find that out apply it two to three times a day and it will help with the continuing stretch.

Products don't really help. Some people say vitamin E, but honestly, if your skin has good elasticity, you won't get too many stretch marks and they will fade easily. If your skin has poor elasticity, like mine, than you will get a lot of stretch marks and they won't fade very easily. I call them my battle scars. I only gained 18 lbs in my pregnancy and I still got a ton of them, just like my mom and older sister. It's genetic. Did other women in you family with similar skin get a lot of stretch marks? That's a good indication of what you'll experience.

coca butter is helpful in minimizing, but not changing it. Stretched marks are irreversible. You can use things to minimize the appearance, btu my dear, they will always be with you. Love yourself.

Try coconut oil – you can find it at health food stores – it is a butter substitute, but it is great for softening skin and even hair – just a bit goes a long way.

vitamin e oil, it gives the skin elasticity and reduces the stretch marks but doesnt prevent them.. unfortunately lol

Did you know that stretch marks are actually hereditary? Crazy I know but its true. So if you are lucky you might not ever get them. But it still doesn't hurt to protect your skin anyways.
NEVER scratch your stomach, this will give you stretch marks!
I use Vaseline Cocoa Butter lotion and if I start itching really bad I use Palmer's Cocoa Butter cream/body butter. Its really thick and it does the trick.
I have also heard that Johnson's has this lotion called "Pregnancy" or something like that and it works really well–so I hear. I haven't been able to find it in the store yet. But you could check online.

Well, I have had 4 boys & I have no stretch marks at all. I religiously used TONS of lotion & cocoa butter throughout my entire pregnancies. I listened to everything my dr. told me to do.
Trust me, you will feel kinda greasy at times, but you won't regret it in the long haul. Use lotions all the time you can, not just after a shower/bath. Any kind will do, but if you can get them w/ cocoa butter even better. Buy a tub of pure cocoa butter & a pure cocoa butter stick (most pharmacies ~ just a few dollars). Go through several sticks during the course of your pregnancy. Slather that stuff all over the place, but especially all over your tummy, sides, butt, hips, thighs & boobs (avoid the nipples & areola as much as possible). Good luck w/ your pregnancy & congratulations Mama!

don't use cocoa butter lotion, use pure cocoa butter cream
Eating foods that high in vitamins C and E, zinc and silica will help your skin to stretch better, and also massaging the skin on your stomach daily, starting durimg the first trimester. You can also use emu oil, and vitamin E oil. Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water. There is also something called Tummy Honey Stretch Mark Prevention Butter. It is all natural and is pretty expensive, but a friend of mine used it and she got absolutely no stretch marks.
