At what stage of pregnancy do stretch marks begin?
I don’t have them yet at 20 weeks 6 days, but I’m wondering when they usually appear?
When did you get yours if you got them? Is it much later or soon?

I’m 28 weeks and I don’t have any yet on my stomach but I do have some really little ones on the inside of my thighs. I think they start around your 8th to 9th month when you get really big.

I didn’t get any until 38 weeks! I thought I had got away without any, then I noticed a few little ones right around the area where my pubic bone is ( low low belly)

Hey! congrats on your pregnancy!!
stretch marks occur when the skin is ripped, due to the streching (hence “stretch” marks!!) some women are lucky enough to never get them, and moisturising seems to be the key.
I have 2 children and I got marks over my belly, thighs and breasts, my first lot never appeared till about 38 weeks, just a week before my first son was born.
My youngest is coming up for 3 and my marks have faded and can hardly be seen, so dont worry even if you do get them, they are part of being a woman – and I love mine, they’re a reminder of carrying my babies!!
Good luck xxx

At any point, but for heaven sake, don’t wait for them. Get a bottle of vitamin E oil and smear it all over your belly at least twice a day. You do not need to have one little stretch mark! Take it from someone who wasn’t lucky enough to have someone give me this advice, the damage the stretch marks will do to your self esteem is frightful! It’s not only the scarring and the red lines, but the skin hangs once it’s been stretched and NEVER goes back to normal. Please, get vitamin E oil today and rub it all over your belly. It’s good for the skin, great for elasticity and won’t harm baby in anyway. Good luck and congrats! Mommyhood rocks!

I dont have any yet and I am 30 weeks pregnant so maybe I’m out of the clear but then again I can’t see the bottom of my belly but my husband promised me there weren’t any lol. Its hard to say some women get them as early as 20 weeks, some not til 35, some don’t ever get them. I highly suggest Palmer’s cocoa butter, I use it daily and havne’t had any that I know of, so far. Best of luck to you
